The opportunity to meet students who share your passion. You will find your favourite sport amongst the 60 odd activities offered by the University's Physical Activities and Sports Service (SUAPS) situated at the heart of the Esplanade campus.
Activities
SUAPS offers a wide range of sporting activities in the form of lessons (from beginners to advanced level), training courses, and free training sessions:
The University Sports Centre (CSU) will open its doors on Monday 30th August 2010 and classes will start on Monday 20th September 2010.
At the CSU and the sports hall you will have access to about 60 sporting activities from 10am to 10 pm every day of the working week.
How to become a member of SUAPS?
Directly at the registration office when you sign up for your academic course. It costs 15 Euros per year to become a member (free for Freshers and students receiving a scholarship).

A sports guide is available at the reception of the sports centre and at the Student's Agora. This guide shows a combination of the physical and sporting activities that SUAPS offers to students and staff of the University of Strasbourg.

Competitive Sport
Competitions are organised by the French University Sporting Federation (FFSU). These competitions allow students to participate in departmental, regional and national championships, as well as allowing them to take responsability for the organisation and management of sporting events, to ensure they are properly umpired, and to take charge of training and team management. To be involved in these competitions, students need a licence, as well as a medical certificate and a photograph. Medical certificates for sports can be obtained awarded free of charge at the University (SUMPS). For more information contact the University of Strasbourg's Sports Association.
